GA4 and Google Tag Manager

Make your important
events measurable.

A new website, a missing lead event or a purchase counted twice. I inspect the implementation and build a GA4 and GTM setup around the actions that matter to your business.

What I inspect.

  1. 1

    The event definition

Which action should create the event, what information belongs with it and which destination should receive it.

  2. 2

    The website and tags

The dataLayer, triggers, parameter values and repeated or missing requests along the agreed journeys.

  3. 3

    The receiving reports

Where access is agreed, test the implementation in GA4 and compare reporting definitions before interpreting a discrepancy.

Keep the scope clear.

GA4 and business reports can describe different things. I compare definitions, time periods and the available records before calling a difference a tracking fault.

Discuss my setup
Can you work on an existing setup?

Yes. I review the current implementation before deciding which parts need changing.

Should GA4 match every order in my shop?

That needs a defined comparison. I check what each source counts, the reporting period and the available consent and processing context.

What access will you need?

Public website checks can come first. GTM, GA4 or code access may be needed for the agreed investigation and implementation.
